Engage Today was an event that was first held in October 2009 in Calgary, Canada.
The primary aim of this conference was to spread the powerful message of getting Engaged in life and the planet. It brought together many of the worlds most prolific business and thought leaders for what was to become an experience I am proud to have been a part of.
Engage Today had a fantastic speaker line up, with even keynotes from 2 world leaders, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and ex-President of South Africa, F.W. deKlerk.
I was very impressed by what everyone said and especially because this event was just about sharing, there were no “sales pitches” and it was all content, no BS!
There was even a speaker who did their part remotely from a hotel in London, England. To illustrate the power of connectivity in today’s society, Alex Mandossian conducted a live teleseminar with 500 people on a phone line, the Engage Today conference delegates and himself in a hotel room in London.
It has never been a better time than now to spread the message of social entrepreneurship and social responsibility.
The tools are plentiful and there is every possiblity for each and every one of us to think bigger and get ourselves motivated in the right way, such that our lives can impact the greater good of the planet.
There are significant shifts happening in the world today, we are all a part of this move and if you are not flowing with the tide, you will be swept up by it.
These shifts are compounded by the ever increasing stories we get in the news about catastrophic events around the world, both man made and natural, that have caused people to sit up straight to take notice of how it affects us all.
The Engage Today conference is being run again in Calgary in 2010 June. If you haven’t been to anthing like this before, I would recommend this conference as being probably the best one I have ever been to.
In fact, if you get to read this Greg, I would very much like to connect and somehow talk about bringing this conference to London as well. I believe these big messages must be heard by people over in Europe and England in a more public arena. I am willing and committed to spreading this message and be the messenger in Europe.
