Michael GerberThe conference begins tomorrow in Calgary and those of you who are going are in an extremely priviledge position. You are going to get some of the best business lessons from a powerful group of thought leaders.

One of the last names to appear on the speaker roster is Michael E. Gerber, The Founder of E-Myth Worldwide and Bestselling Author of E-Myth.

Michael E. Gerber – Chief Dreamer® and “the World’s #1 Small Business Guru” (Inc. Magazine)—is the Founder of E-Myth Worldwide, the most successful small business development firm in the world, with over 70,000 business clients in 145 countries, and the Founder and Chairman of Michael E. Gerber Companies.

In his book The E-Myth Revisited, he writes about a lot of the business methodology, through stories with Sarah who runs a small pie shop called All About Pies. All his stories are taken from real life examples of business success or failures and he emphasizes on the positive lessons to learn from each story.

When I read this book about 9 months ago, I was in a place where I thought from the first chapter, that I might not learn much from the book, however as I continued to read, the book literally just sucked me in.

The light story based format makes this an extremely easy read, and through elegant writing, he makes it easy to understand the lessons to be learnt.

As a result I personally learnt many things and amongst them all, for me, the most powerful lesson, is the power of creating systems.

Anways, so he’s speaking and I think you are going to have a fantastic time listening to him on stage! I wish I could be there!

Engage Today Speakers 2010So the speaker list has been released and it’s really interesting to see who they have got lined up for this 3 day event.

This year, the event will be hosted by Greg Habstritt and Alex Mandossian. After the massive success of last year’s event, they have a lot to live up to now and we’ll be keeping a close eye on the lead up to the event and the event itself.

So what exactly is this event all about, well, Engage Today is about bringing together entrepreneurs to become engaged in creating true value through business that will also change the world by coupling with social causes.

After the overwhelming success of 2009, where speakers such as the Dalai Lama, Richard Branson and Stephen Covey presided, this is truly a noble cause and without a shadow of doubt, they will be building upon the strength of the previous year’s success.

Today more than ever, people are turning to their imaginations to bring about change in their own lives, and turning to the world of entrepreneurialism.

One of the best bits of advice I could possibly give, being an entrepreneur myself, is that education is important, but getting education from the best in the world is absolutely vital.

I myself can recount all the times at seminars and conferences where important information was bestowed upon me by many years of experience talking, and it was up to me to take action on that new knowledge.

Every time I did, I have managed to create even more connections, even more success and even more financial and personal breakthroughs.

So the speak line-up they have for 2010 include:

  • Matt Mullenweg – inpirational internet business leader and founder of WordPress!
  • Lisa Nichols – best-selling author, a popular public speaker, a powerful coach, and a charismatic teacher, and star from “The Secret”
  • Jeff Rubin – top-ranked economist in Canadian financial markets for more than a decade
  • MaryEllen Tribby – proud Founder and CEO of WorkingMomsOnly.com The leading newsletter and website for the empowerment of the working mom
  • Dave Crenshaw – appeared in TIME magazine, SIRIUS XM Radio, Forbes, MSN Money, been interviewed on radio and TV stations across North America and is the President of the National Association of Productivity Coaches
  • Vishen Lakhiani – Taking Your Business From $100,000 to $10 Million in 5 Years
  • Jay Niblick – one of the world’s leading authorities on the application of Formal Axiology in a business environment.
  • Philip McKernan – International Speaker and Educator and real estate investor
  • Rick Sapio – investment strategist
  • Greg Mooers – founder of LifeCamp Coaching, a technique that accelerates spiritual and psychological evolution.
  • Jim Kwik – memory expert on how to unlock the minds potential for learning.
  • Michael Drew – book marketing and publishing expert.

With such an incredible line up, how could you possible resist going? It’s a full 3 days packed full of real valuable information that when you get back you’ll be itching to put all those new ideas into action.

I’ve been wondering when they are going to release the information for the June conference which is happening in 2010.

I know that they are planning to hold this Engage Today conference again in 2010, however it would seem they haven’t yet released the information regarding this.

If you have any information I would love to hear about it. I know a few people who are already attending and I’m sure that the line up of speakers is going to be spectacular!

The conference was one of those where you weren’t too sure what you were going to get. The speaker line up was fantastic, yet whether they spent time on strategies or mindset wasn’t so clear.

After a quick few introductions, it was evident from the very first speaker, that this was about growing and evolving the mindset to something that is greater than what we box ourselves in as.

Furthermore, other incredible speakers such as Sean Stephenson and Wyland really hit home about all the things we do to hold ourselves back, until we see more clearly what we really want and how to go about achieving them

LEARN FROM MASTERS AND YOUR BUSINESS WILL EXCEL

Welcome to this site. I created this because I wanted to tell everyone about an amazing event which I had the pleasure and privilege to attend last October 2009. This was a real life changing event where I got to hear speakers from all over the world spreading the good message of doing great business and driving Social Change as well.

Some of the speakers included world leaders such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama and ex-President of South Africa, F.W de Klerk. Other business leaders included Sir Richard Branson, Dr Stephen Covey, Tony Hsieh, Eben Pagan and many more.

This 4 day event was just one of the best experiences of my life and to share my thoughts, I also did a video journal whilst I was there. These videos are all on my YouTube channel, however to give you a quick idea, here’s a video of what I thought about the last day.
